An open-source tool for tracking private-jet flights and estimating their carbon emissions, built for the Institute for Policy Studies’ Private Jet Accountability Project.

IYOIYO built PJET, the Private Jet Emissions Tracker, to help researchers and journalists investigate private aviation. The system turns publicly broadcast flight data into searchable takeoff and landing records, connects flights with aircraft and airport data, and estimates their carbon emissions. An interactive browser interface makes it possible to explore flight activity and compare emissions against a baseline. The tracker supported the Private Jet Accountability Project’s research into private-jet traffic around the 2026 World Cup.
